Continuous AF on EM-1--nobody has been quite sure but a few interviews with Oly
revealed it is a mix of PDAF and CDAF with native MFT lenses. Hit rate seems very slightly better than EM-5. As frame rate is also higher for EM-1--probably significantly more frames in focus. ...

I think you need to ask Oly.

One guess - it wasn't any faster.

Second guess - saving it as a new feature of the E-M5II - in which role it 
would work whether faster or not.
