Well, 11000 feet is pretty high up, so not surprising that it snows there. My
wife goes skiing in Sierra Nevada, 400 km SOUTH of Alicante, and it has pretty
reliable snow, because the village is at 2200-2300 m and the slopes range up to
3500 m.
