Ha, missed the spectral eminations, and like your crowed still life. I
discussed the crop of the portrait with Marnie. I appreciate the time spent on
the other changes. I considered content aware fill for the H2O bottle but
considered it part of the story, such as it is.

Too complex for CAF, done with clone tool. I guess it could be 'ironic'; one's expectation from endless street shots of sots being a brown paper bag with glass bottle of hootch, instead of a plastic bottle of water in a clear bag.

If you have the .psd file handy, will replace the file with refined version.
Curiously I did up the vibrancy a tad and brought up shadows on initial DXO
conversion then ported tiff to PS, but should have had another layer just for
the face.

Interestingly, and unusually, I didn't use LCE at all. I upped Saturation +26 on all but jacket and face, to get a stronger graphic look, and did the face alone separately.
I'll send the file on.

Most of the changes are fine. I thought removing the bottle was unnecessary but don't have strong feelings about it. But the crop at the end just didn't work for me. I don't know if it's the new aspect ratio of the loss of the flowers but it just doesn't fit.

Can't disagree; it's all a matter of taste. Which is why I showed all the separate changes. As a street shot, it's really good as it stands.

When I saw it, I had an instant vision of an image as much about strong shapes and colors as about the man. I could see it on a gallery wall, with a hefty price on it. The busily detailed flowers didn't fit that vision. :-)

I guess the second one illustrates the "why didn't I trade in for GM-5" a bit
more. You precisely read my mind.

I rather liked the framing despite the difficulties--no crop.

Nope, you nailed the composition; it was just harder with only LCD in that
light, at that angle.

I included a couple of other compositions and subjects in the Pigeon Point mini gallery. <http://zone-10.com/tope2/main.php?g2_itemId=16819>
