Well, I finished off the day by taking the E-1, set for ISO 800, and my
lens of choice, a 1971 Pentax Super-Multi-Coated Takumar 50/1.4
(7-element) to a twilight ball game. I shot around 18 frames and got 4
keepers plus some backup shots.
My gr-grandson, Bobby, got a hit, and I can even see the ball:

I'm now convinced that the lens is worth my investing in a better M42 to
4/3 adapter. Looks like CameraQuest is going to make some money off of me.
