There was once a saying at Cessna that if it weren’t for the Bonanza, we would be up to our ass with doctors and lawyers.. That's because the Bonanza was a particularly high performance craft in the early days and the V tail could present problems. It was a step up from cessnas that pilots with more ego and ambition than hours of experience and careful training though it was as easy a step up as going from a smaller car to a big luxury model.

I don’t get that reference, Bill, but it would be fine for stalling, perhaps not spinning. Each student has to learn to enter and recover from a stall – at a safe height.

I suspect that that AC was tested and certified to 2+ and 1.5- G's if at all. That's old enough that standards were more lax. Frankly, I wouldn't want to be in it doing a loop or stall or spin or anything else even if you were the pilot. Although, since I'm from Wichita, I don't think a piper would be much of a loss. What can that do that a Bonanza can't do? (joke answer: Kill Doctors and Lawyers.)
