I have a question. I'm considering one of these to use alongside my GX7.

In general, I don't think you will find any difference in AF speed. I too
have five Panny lenses (and more Olys), but
only a couple that I've used on Oly bodies. Two I got specifically for a
lightweight GM1 kit and one is quite new to me.
I did just grab the 45-150 and try focusing on near, then far, and so on,
and it seemed to me pretty instantaneous.
OTOH, the 20/1.7 has a rep as slow focusing on both brand bodies, I've used
it mostly on Olys, and not been troubled.
and IBIS work with the Panny lenses?
IBIS in the Mark II is distinctly better than the Mark I for the eagle eyed
compulsive pixel peeper who likes long
teles. The Mark I and GX7 seem to me to have pretty comparable IBIS, in
spite the extra axes of the Oly. Probably not
true for macro, though. So I would say that Mark II IBIS would be a step up
from the GX7. You do have a menu choice
whether to use lens IS or IBIS on the Panny lenses with IS.
I keep reading that certain Oly lenses are made specially for fast AF, but
I don't know if that's the truth, or just marketing hype.
Nor do I.
Remember in the olden days of wristwatches when batteries lasted six
months at best, and then Seiko advertised that theirs ran over a year and
hinted that it was special (more expensive) batteries, only for us to
learn later that they had found a way to make movements with a lower
current draw?
