The chance of your involvement in anything like that are pretty vanishingly
small. Just like my wife and I have been telling our families about our
chance of being involved in problems here in Mexico.

One of the best things one can do anymore seems to be to avoid television
news. The constant drumbeat of what turns out to be mostly reports of only
the worst about *any* area give a highly biased view that really doesn't
represent reality.

This is in no way to say that there aren't issues. There are. And they need
to be fixed. But you're far more likely to due in assn accident near home
than in any of the sort of things the need media like to blather on about.
Giving in and avoiding travel is letting the fear-mongering assholes win.
