I just looked a bit more closely and see shades of the OM 18/3.5 here. The new m.Zuiko 7-14/2.8 has a bulging front element and a deep lens cap to cover it.

It's $160 cheaper than the original 4/3 f/4 version but also a stop
faster at f/2.8

Had I had it on an E3, or was it E5 the last one they issued, I think
the A/F motors would have worked wonders.

OTT I hate nikon's ergonomics (had several of them) and even worse,
Canon's ...

Oly glass is second to so few :-)
The 7-14 for 4/3 which I also sold here, will remain the ultra wide
angle lens zoom of my life I think ...

Happy fuji user Philippe for now ...

I had that lens for a while and sold it here but I don't remember if
the LH-70C fits, sorry.

OTT, this was a great lens, a bit slow to A/F on the L1 but very
sharp when you nailed it :-)

That was the lens that was - the reason I eschewed the E-1 in favor of
a different brand for my first DSLR.

Based on trying out it against alternative long zooms for EF mount, I
decided it would drive me mad with frustration and lead to lost shots.

I kept my sanity, at least that part, got to use the wonderful 5D for
five years and happily came back into the Oly fold with the E-M5. No
regrets.
