Actually lately a lot of the activity has been up the Island. Duncan, Nanaimo and especially Courtney/Comox.
Now there's a place I have been. For whatever reasons, flying from SF to there was about half the cost of flying to
Campbell River, even including the cab ride.
The new highway makes it a lot more accessible.
Hmmm. Never driven it, but that it is nicer now makes me think again of camp/driving to get to Cortez, where we could
stay with friends.
