     Many years ago I took a rafting trip down the Middle Fork and main stem of 
the Salmon River.  The backcountry settlements and ranches along the way had 
short airfields, and there were invariably Cessna 170s, 180s, and 182s 
everywhere.  Pretty durable aircraft.
