But, being shift lenses they should have an adequate image circle even
if not as large. The main difference is availability of a 24mm focal
length vs 50mm minumum.

Many technical camera users will likely use dedicated “digital” lenses from
schneider and rodenstock, designed for so-called medium-format digital backs. They have
larger-than-44mm image circles but smaller than the RZ circle.
The Cambo thing only really works decently on a mirrorless body, any SLR type
body will shade the image sensor too much from the mirror box of the SLR, when
used with shifts.
At that point, just go back to large-format film, which IMNSHO is where he should have
stayed…

Now that I've had some more coffee, considering the price of the Cambo,
it would make more sense to outfit a full-frame digital mirrorless with
a used Olympus, Canon or Nikon shift lens. Clyde is probably using
Mamiya RZ lenses because he already has them.
