Yesterday I cycled up to Benidorm and back, about 35 km each way, an easy ride
along the old Valencia road. On the way I stopped at a gas station just south
of VIllajoyosa, bought a Coke and went to a nearby beach, Platja Bon Nou, to
drink it. This is a small, secluded beach, and probably the most beautiful of
its kind on the stretch of coast between Alicante and Benidorm. It is rarely
crowded, not even in the summer. Yesterday there were just a few people,
including a couple in a tent. It looked like they were going to spend a couple
of days there.

Looking north. The clouds look a bit threatening but they dissipated and the
temperature rose to somewhere between 25C and 30C, a perfect day for cycling:
