The first shot that appears was taken not far from my current location (San
Felipe,Baja). I'm thinking that Burtynsky must have been pretty lucky to
find water in the Colorado there, so I'm wondering what time of the year it
was taken. Not much makes it all the way to the sea any more, most times of
the year.
Friends that have been coming here for many years tell me that a section of
the highway which one takes to get here used to be mostly surrounded by
water, and full of birds. Now it's just playa, and lots of salt, unless
we've had a very high tide.
