At the risk of sounding like a snob, I'm going to speculate that the Apple
geniuses at Cambridge are a cut above. <g> (I say this while listening to
NPR, which is playing a live broadcast of music from King's College Chapel.
That said, you're probably right. The Mini can be configured with 16GB of
Ram, and I don't think photo processing should take more than that. The
only question would be whether aftermarket RAM might be somewhat less
expensive than Apple's. I haven't bought any in quite a while. They may
have become more competitive of late.
I trust with Adobe's download system now, whether you have Windows or OSX
is not relevant. When I made the switch, Adobe charged me $5 for new
Photoshop disks.
