     The weather in the northern hemisphere is getting a bit testy.  The BBC 
has an interesting story about NASA's statement about the current El Nino:

the low-pressure system that spawned the tornado swarm in Dallas last weekend:

     I remember that storm as it created a cutoff low that swung well to the 
south over southern Baja.  I still have the GFS and NAM charts for that one.

     Things here in the southwest are pleasant, though a bit cold for now.  
Next week we'll be getting our share of El Nino as it is forecast to be rainy 
from Monday to Friday.
