Here's a photo taken from an angle, but not so sharp, including all the
painting.

Moose and Philippe, your efforts are great.

The advantage to me of
trying to make something of the defective image are two; it's the
sharpest one I have, and the side lighting picks out the surface details
of the 3-dimensional painting surface. I do not have a RAW image of it.
Here's a full-size image.

A full size
edited version, uploaded to where I can download it, would be great. My
e-mail box probably does not have the space to accept a copy mailed to
me.

I'll take a shot at that. I understand both what Chuck asked about the sky and your reply. My big question now is what colour the overall painting should be. The first shot is quite warm, the second very cool. Possibly incandescent vs. window light? It's easy enough to use the straighter, sharper one, but the colours from the other, or anything in between. Do you have a general idea what it was like, or what you would like it to look like?

Is there something in the painting that you think is or should be neutral
white/gray/black?

If you had PS, I could just give you both, on layers, and let you do your own
balance with the opacity slider.

Colour Me Moose
