Maybe. I bought my first E-500 about five years ago and the battery is
still good. Those BLM-1 batteries are getting pretty inexpensive. You can buy
a pair for less than US$13 whereas five years ago they were about US$40 each.
The CF eject mechanism is a common problem everywhere. That was the first
thing that broke on my HP laptop years ago.
