Greetings All,
I have a question regarding my laptop. It is a Compaq that I purchased
around the time Windows 7 was coming out. It came with Vista but had a free
upgrade to 7 which I did immediately. The upgrade went flawlessly and the
laptop has given me no problems. In the last couple of days, after I boot
it up in the morning, the screen will blink in a random fashion. It appears
the screen goes black for a small fraction of a second and has the
appearance of a short flicker (very annoying). If I turn it on and let it
sit unused until it goes into sleep mode, when I reawaken it, the flicker
has gone away until the next time the machine is rebooted. Does this
indicate impending doom? I keep my files backed up so if the worst happens
I'm covered. Any thoughts or suggestions? I have run viral/malware scans
and all are negative.
