That's pretty much exactly what it is (but delete the words: 'by

Once it's out there, it's out there _for ever_;  backups of deleted
accounts WILL exist. It will be visible to the cloud provider, their
assigns and anybody who cares to bypass their firewalling and
encryption*. And not just the cloud providers themselves, but the cheap
offshore bulk storage they use (and if they're not using it now, the
'race to the bottom' will make sure they will eventually).

And what about their terms of service/security policy? All moot. Cloud
company goes bust - your data/account is an asset up for auction and the
new owner may not be willing to be bound by the old ToS. 

* Rest assured, security flaws exists in all software. 

hey... it's not paranoia if they really ARE out to get my metrics :)
