Thanks, Wayne. Yes, all it requires is to be cut back to 10-12 inches in height in early Spring, and it will do its job.

It took a lot of patience to get this female Spicebush Swallowtail to ignore
me and come to my side of the bush.  I wanted to get an image of the
underside of the wing, which is more colorful than the dull top side.
