First, thank you for the link. I am considering purchasing an X-T2, and
this contained a lot of interesting information.
Secondly, my takeaway from this is that the term, "split image", can
have multiple meanings. As shown in the video, I don't find it to be
"rangefinder-like" at all. It shows the full image on the left, and a
magnified center portion on the right. The camera has several ways of
enhancing the contrast of the magnified image, making focusing easier.
But, if one is expecting a split image such as that provided by a Leica
rangefinder camera, I did not find it.
