I finally found photos. Mine is a Browning patent, made by Colt. Yours must be the Husqvarna version of the same patent. That extra barrel length probably helped balance and accuracy.

Jim, I am a temple of obscure and I needed tidbits. Won't dignify it by

Thanks, Rick. I had forgotten the Swedish version. Thanks for the
reminder.

Nicely presented, Jim.
(And a fun gun to shoot.)

Didja know that sometime in that era, the Swedes made that gun their
service pistol?
Same gun, but added another inch to the slide and the barrel, plus a
lanyard loop.
I bought one, mail order, in 7.65 mm (.32 cal.) from Bannerman's in the
late 50s. Came with a beautiful full flap leather holster and a cleaning
rod.

On a rainy morning, I thought about a subject for an indoor shoot and
recalled an object that has been replaced by the proliferation of lethal
weapons in recent years. This well-worn Colt Pocket Pistol, with an
enclosed hammer and nothing to snag, was a favorite of the underworld
during the Roaring 20s. It was available in both 32 and 38 calibers. To
my mind, it remains a classic design. As a young man, I could field-strip
it with no tools in less than a minute.
