The pond is fully electrified. Note the little shed on the far side of
the pond <http://zone-10.com/tope2/main.php?g2_itemId=20732> That's a
power and pumping station. The fountain is for both decoration and
aeration and gets it's power via underground cable from the power shed.
The pond is also serviced by a well pump in the shed which keeps the
pond at a certain level when the weather is very dry.
It was peaceful when I took the photos but not long before the wind was
blowing constantly at about 45 mph with higher gusts and the rain was
coming down in torrents with lighting and thunder at times.

The rain started again but stopped and now it's only foggy. I think the
storm is moving northeast fast enough that the additional rain clouds
rotating around again will miss us.
I wish I could send some of this (10.4") of rain to Tina. But I know the
tree frogs would object. When it rains really hard here the tree frogs can
keep us serenaded all night as they sing their love songs to their mates.
One thing's for sure. If nothing else there will soon be lots of baby tree
frogs around. They'll grow up and continue the serenade.
