Brian, these are _Li-ion_ batteries which aren't the same as lithium. I
believe that they can be safely shipped.
Whether safe or not, it is legal only under stringent regulations, and essentially never in passenger aircraft on

Within the US, the regulations are slightly easier, allowing up to two batteries or four cells in a package. I suppose
this is why so many offers on line are for two batteries?
