Yes, we enjoyed our visit very much, even though it was slightly hectic.
As we're in NA, we tried to see all the key sites in the time available.
We tried to stayed in places we wanted to see, so we got the afternoon
and evenings to visit (and eat). Of the places of interest we visited,
only Braga was a 'bust', as the sites we wanted to see were closed for
renovation. So, we ended up spending more time in Guimaraes, which was
delightful. My wife wanted to stay in a castle, so we treated ourselves
to the posada in Estremoz for one night.
We used the autoroutes to get from Lisbon to Porto, and from Lagos back
to Lisbon to save time. There were a couple of other stretches where we
used toll roads (all of which are automated as we had a chipped device
in the rental car).
I should do something with some of my photos..... You'd certainly
recognize many of the places.

Lots of visits in common - I just posted postcards of Coimbra. But we never had
to pay for any toll, north of Lisboa. Even the ultra long bridge heading south
was free. We must have been lucky, or taking the smaller roads :-)

take the time. Most of the places of interest are eminently walkable.
