Washington is broken. I get that. We need different people in there, good
people, people who can start to unravel the lobbying and SuperPAC
nightmare. But sending in a man who, aside from being a repugnant human, is
a man who amassed a fortune by stealing other people's investments and
cheating and screwing the same working-class contractors and workers who
just put him into office cannot possibly be the answer.. Somehow, they
believe that a man who is the poster boy for tax-cheating Billionaire Boys
Club members, a man who for his entire life has only considered one thing -
what's best for Donald - is suddenly going to change his tune and break all
of those things and make them rich. And they voted back in most of the same
Congresspeople who have spent the past 8 years doing nothing but publicly
stating that they were going to do nothing until Obama was out of office.
This morning I am deeply ashamed of my country. But I can't let the "Make
America Hate Again" mantra define my life. I will continue on being kind,
compassionate and considerate of my fellow humans, regardless of race,
color, or beliefs. I have to. I cannot let that man break who I am. This is
also my country. I will not let it be taken away from me. I am a proud
descendant of German, Italian and Scot immigrants. I have to honor their
sacrifices and lives by trying to be the person that I know I should be.
This election has given the dark, bubbling underbelly of this country a
champion. The only good thing is that it now has brought them out into the
open so we know who and where they are. What truly disturbs me is that it
seems that modern-day America has just stated that it's perfectly
comfortable with racism, sexism, xenophobia, fear-mongering, outright
provable lies, sexual assault, and raping a 13-year-old girl. That is
what's the most unsettling about all of this.
This will be my only comment. I'm just too tired of all of this. I feel
physically ill today, and that is the first time ever in my almost 54 years
on this planet that I have ever felt that way after an election.
Now, let's argue about Canyon vs. Nykon vs. Red-Dot vs Oly. Please?
