This was a very sad thing to see yesterday.

I was reasonably clueless about the majority of his work - I definitely
knew "Hallelujah," but not a lot else.

Then 4 years ago a friend of mine who is a serious fan got me to go see
Cohen in Chicago. I was blown away. I suddenly realized what I had been
missing. And that I was watching the embodiment of "cool" in a suit.

I went home, bought the studio album box set and the ones that weren't in
it, and then did a deep dive. I was hooked.  I'm ordering his new album
this weekend.
