I agree, Jim, but it implies, “I am going . . .” or “Ken is going” rather than 
“Ken going . . .”  

However, if it were describing Ken, as in “Ken going . . . “ (not Ken, going) 
you could infer that it was an adjectival form and therefore a gerund.
