As a new owner too, I may add that adjusting the focus point is now much easier 
thanks to the clever joystick - this, more than the rest matters to me. I find 
it nearly as easy as on my now sold D700.
The wheels of the top plate are also somewhat larger, which makes me presume 
I'll be able to keep my gloves on when needed.

Video is supposed to be better, but I don't do video.
