Thanks, Jim. I can’t see Two Acres, but we stayed at Braham Farm:

Which is the site of a monastic settlement dating back over 1,000 years, it 
seems:

I had thought, until last weekend, that drainage of the Fens started in the 
1600s, but in fact it started hundreds of years before.
