Not in any way to downplay the appeal of the images from Syria, the
several images of Portugal earlier in the sequence caught my attention.
Especially that of Monsaraz. We had debated going there, along with
Evora, late last March but deferred until a later date. Now a definite
visit is slated either in September or next March. What a fabulous
photo. The photos from Lisbon all brought back memories from March 2015.
We have a Syrian refugee family living in the large basement suite of
the home immediately across the street from us. The T shirt, puppet show
and Sunday School Angels images are exceptionally evocative of our new
and very welcomed neighbours.
Keep your Syrian trip images coming.

These are Syrian children who attend a school that is supported by our
Syrian Working Group. We are trying to make it possible for Syrians to
stay in Syria. If you read my first post, you know that the news we
receive in the USA is very different from what the Syrians believe is the
truth. We are just hoping the children will be able to make a difference
in the future.
