When I travel to places that use currencies other than the Euro, I just use my
cards to pay for everything. And I never change money.
Yeah, that's how we do it most of the time too, Nathan. However there
are a couple of reasons main reasons for the cash. One was to get the
pounds when they were down the toilet. :) The other is because there are
some places we stayed in the Highlands which wanted cash. Also I like to
just pay with cash for small purchases like pubs. I know that the
servers prefer the cash tips. Last time we also ran into some places
which couldn't take non-chip cards. Now the US has mostly switched so
that isn't an issue anymore. There a few more reasons too which I won't
get into...
