Thanks, Moose.  I've seen a few trees in bloom as I drive around my part of town, but I've never learned all of the names.  I did see my neighbor mowing her wild onions this afternoon.  My yard is at the bottom of a hill, and the soil is too soft for yard work. Maybe next week............... ;-)

Searching for a sign of Spring on an overcast day, with squishy soil underfoot from a series of heavy rains, I found this among the many tiny buds on the Cleveland Pear tree.  Aside from a few Daffodils, this is extent of color at this point.   60 Elmarit-R, heavily cropped.

Nicely captured.

Our spring is further along. The camellia has been blooming for weeks, almost over. Hyacinth in two colors, grape hyacinth, bluebirds, cyclamen, red and yellow freesias and the big yellow, feathery things are all in bloom in the yard. Only a handful of the masses of pink climbing rose blossoms from a month or so ago, and none of the white one, but they'll be back pretty soon. Across the street and around town, magnolias and flowering fruit trees are in various stages.
