I am just glad that I left the US just before the older of my two children
reached school age (just—he did attend K grade in New Jersey but that was it).
And I think I have uncovered the reason why the fascist regime does not want to
do anything about this insanity. With every school shooting, home schooling
looks like a more attractive option. And this is of course what the fascist
right wishes to promote. So do not expect any action beyond vacuous expressions
of compassion and other forms of crocodile tears. And prayers, of course.
