For the airplane geeks among us...

This is a 1970 180H has been fully restored and is actually a very
low-time aircraft. The original owner bought it and flew it it north
but ground-looped it along the way. A hired ferry pilot brought it the
rest of the way and then it had floats installed as soon as it got
here. (it was factory built as a float plane with all coatings and
mounts, but factory delivered with wheels). The owner was an old guy
and didn't fly it much until he lost his medical and the plane sat
derelict on the shore for a couple decades and was fully covered in
moss and little trees. But it only had a few hundred hours on it and
the engine was in good shape. The current owner stripped down the
airplane and fully overhauled it top-to-bottom (including the engine).
It's absolutely cherry and is nearly new with just over a thousand
hours total time. The paint job is stunning and is the original color
and pattern.

The wings were mounted in a jig and corrected (one was still a bit
bent from the ground-loop). Upon reinstallation, they were configured
for high-speed cruise instead of STOL. (he has a Super Cub for that).
Depending on weight, the cruise speed was around 145 knots, give or
take a few. It's had a few STCs installed, including reskinning the
tail with thicker aluminum and installing the protection tape.

I always thought that the 180 was one of the better looking aircraft,
but this one is sealed the deal. It's really beautiful.
