[OM] Wetzlar with the M10

During our stay in Wetzlar, Leica loaned out equipment for a day.  I borrowed an M10 with 50/1.4 Summilux ASPH.  I was able to put the camera through its paces in both low light with the 50 Lux, and in daylight with my classic 35 1980s Summicron.

Here's a baker's dozen of shots at Leica HQ and in the town of Wetzlar.  To see the pictures in order, start here and click the arrow on the LEFT side of the screen to go to the next picture:

The M10's low light ability is impressive.  ISO 6400 is very good, as this shot of Jono Slack shows.  The only illumination was the lectern light, plus a little spill from the projector off the picture to the right.

And these shots of lens designer Peter Karbe show that c. ISO 1250 is just a walk in the park:

My general impression of the camera is that Leica got pretty much all of it right. Battery life is not as good as previous digital Ms, because they made it as slender as a film M, which necessitated a smaller battery.  But everything else is very, very good.
