I did a little experimentation to see how well the macro focusing worked,
and took this photo of my jeans from a distance of about 3 inches (7.5cm).
This seems to be the practical limit for how close it will focus:

Not bad for something that's less than 1cm thick.
One feature I'd like to see on these would be a warming to cooling filter
that functions with a slide, rather than have a simple daylight (cooling) and
shadow (warming) setting.
