This discussion points out the very reason why I love some of the old
OM Zuikos so much. The "lens character" of the 50/1.4, 35/2, 85/2,
100/2.8, 100/2, and 300/4.5 are unlike anything else out there. Not to
forget the 35-80/2.8.
Any lens can be sharp, flat fielded, etc., but not every lens can
impart it's "way of seeing the world" on the photographer quite the
way these lenses do.
Except, of course, lenses such as "Lens Baby" and "Pinhole" which take
it to an extreme and are special-use only.
As always, the "silvernosed" variety are best.
