Bill, as I responded to Charlie, I have seen no reason to buy an external card reader, since USB connectors were added to front of computers.  The built-in SD slot takes care of Fuji cards, and, for the occasional CF transfer, the cables work just fine.  At 88, I've got no place to be in a hurry.

I also use a USB cable with my iPhone 6.

As I was transferring images from my Olympus E-1 to my computer, I
wondered how many of today's digital photographers have ever used a
transfer cable. The modern SD cards and the like are taken for
granted. But, for some of us, with large, slow cards, this is how it's
done.
