Shooting in bursts also allows for panoing where and when you or the platform 
you’re standing on, are NOT static. 

The pano in the link was taken from a sailing vessel with freezing and powerful 
gusts of winds (I’d say 3 to 4 on the Beaufort scale, mark the waves breaking 
up in surf)
