There's no end of surprises when using a public wifi system. The chronic
disconnets and rerouting between me and the wireless hub have been going on for
months, but the hacker(s) reached a new level of intrusion this morning. I was
dosconnected, and when I tried to reconnect I found that there were no wifi
hubs available. I quickly found that my wifi adapter had been shut off
remotely.
That's pretty much the end for that coffee shop. When the hacker(s)
become so sophisticated that they can get past three firewalls and play with
your hardware, it's time to move on. There's a Wildflower restaurant another
two miles away where I have none of these problems, particularly the 100% CPU
lockout.
