I still have a CTE-440 that I use once in a while. Unfortunately, my
hand-eye coordination really struggles with using a pen that is
disjointed from the screen. The mouse puck has long since died.

As I am a Windows person, I have come to really like touchscreens.
It's really hard to use a computer that isn't. I mention that because
several weeks ago, I picked up a Wacom Bamboo pen. It works on my
Android devices as well as my laptops. Well, it works well on ONE of
my laptops. The other has only about half a screen that it works on.

Unfortunately, Adobe is a little slow in actually adapting to "Ink"
and there are a few setting issues to address. I'm not totally
satisfied with it, but it isn't horrid. You can do some things, but
not others. Overall, the performance of my old CTE-440 is better and
gives full features (pressure sensitivity, press to click, etc), but
the Bamboo takes up zero desk real-estate and goes everywhere I go.

As a compromise setup, I'm running Spacedesk on my computer and a
7-inch tablet. This is rather slick as it allows me to extend the
Windows Desktop right onto my tablet and I can throw one of the
screens onto it and do my drawing right there. Not a bad option.
Again, Adobe is a little clunky, but it works.

My primary reason for getting the Bamboo is because I have to go
paperless for work. I'm trying to get adapted to OneNote and am having
a blast with it. With the Bamboo, I don't need to go out and buy
myself a new Samsung Note (would sexting on a Note 7 be considered a
hot date?). It works with any tablet, as well as my Lenovo Yoga.
