I do miss the zuiko OM 16mm.

I think the Panny 8/3.5 is a worthy successor for µ4/3. Then the Oly 8/1.8 Pro offers speed in return for $, size and weight.

The Panny is slightly smaller and lighter than the 16/3.5. Length is not obvious, as the 16/3.5 is designed for OM mount, clearing the mirror. With adapters to Sony FF or µ4/3, it's actually longer than the Panny. Makes sense, as it has the built-in filters.

FYI I found this:

Thanks, an interesting link. I tried his technique, and, guess what, it stretched corner stars into lines. Just what I expected. Also, of course, by focusing on the skyline on the bottom half of his image, he has even further distorted the Milky Way into half a circle., which should also be straight. I don't think there's any way to use a Fishy for what he's trying to do.

For terrestrial photography, it's simple, keep the camera level in both planes, then crop top and/or bottom as desired after correction.

If you must shoot pointed up or down from level, apply fisheye correction, then
do perspective correction.
