Another tip when working with long lenses (with the E-M1 Mark II, at least):
half-pressing the shutter while in magnify mode stabilizes the image, assuming
you have the focal length of your manual lens set up properly.
I’ve been shooting a 500/4 on a monopod from the deck of a moving boat lately.
At even 5x magnification, things are just too “jumpy” to focus, until you
invoke the IBIS gods.
