To the best of my knowledge, the Sky Courier was designed for the PT6 from the 
very beginning, at the direct orders from FedEx asked. The GE engines are for 
the single engine turboprop, and are a clean sheet engine. I am very skeptical 
of that. It seems like the same sort of design as the Garrets on the 441, which 
killed sales, along with other problems. I'm not impressed with their current 
experience with clean sheet engines, on the Hemisphere. That project is on 
indefinite hold, as the French engines are not ready for prime time, and there 
s no other engine that will deliver the economy that was promised to those with 
deposits down. HOpe this doesn't happen to the Denali.

Bill, I had heard that Fedex balked at the GE engines, but I now read 
that is what is causing delays. Did they cave in on the demand for PT-6's?
