  I thought about trying but wasn't even aware of the transit until
yesterday morning. Had a regular work day so I grabbed a pair of binoculars
and the solar filters I made for the last eclipse as I headed out the door.
I could just make out Mercury with that set up. Was bummed I didn't have
time to set up my telescope. Oh well, there will be another in 30 years.
I'll only be 95.
