I'm disappointed in you. Don't you already know polarizing glasses and cameras
don't play well together?

I'm thinking that while a nice "new shiny" would be nice in my bag,
I'm probably just going to get a couple more legacy items that fill a
couple of critical gaps.

With the DMX-GX85, I've run into a couple of usage issues that are
proving to be more difficult for me than expected.

I wear polarizing sunglasses (prescription, sport version, safety
glass) and the viewfinder (and monitor) go black if I shoot vertical.
Not all cameras do that and some of the Canons are better than the
average bear in this regard.

Another issue has to do with shooting in bright sunlight. the EVF just
isn't up to snuff in high contrast, high brightness environments. This
is the nature of live-view. While the EVF of the GX85 is pretty
horrible as compared to the Olympus E-M1, some of the same conditions
apply.

I love EVF, but in high-contrast Alaska, EVF doesn't always love me back.
