The 14-54 is a really nice lens and balances extremely well on the
cameras. But I would recommend the Mk2 version as it focuses much
faster and holds off at F2.8 for a little while longer before dropping
down to F3.5 in the telephoto range.

The biggest advantage of the 14-54 over the other lenses in that
range, including the 12-60, is how much correction it has. There is
very little barrel or pincushion distortion. You can shoot landscapes
and throw the horizon right at the top or bottom of the frame and it
stays flat. This correction does lead to some interesting wide-angle
traits in corners, but the lens is an overachiever. And these days,
it's a bargain.
