SARS was disappeared in Hong Kong in June 2003, the weather in summer here is usually around 30-33 deg. C and relative humidity ~80%.

Q: Is there any research that proves that sunlight is an antidote to the virus?

A: There has been early research that suggests that warm and cold temperate
climates are the most vulnerable. Arid regions and the tropics come after that.
However, this is only early research.

I had made a remark to a friend in Brisbane some weeks ago that there was
a fairly distinct pattern to the rapid spread of this disease. It prefers
cold, wet climates like central China, South Korea, Seattle, and northern Italy
(now northern Europe). Arid regions like Arizona, northern Africa, and the
Australian outback could be safe havens, provided to can tolerate the hot, dry
climate.
