Thanks for the images of Egypt, Philippe - and the earlier ones. Many years 
since we were there, but a reminder that it is "somewhere else". Great pano of 
Abu Simbel. Mais où Charlie? Or Waldo. Or even Wally.

I like the panorama, Philippe: that history is amazing.

The chase would have been worrying, particularly when you consider that many 
zones of conflict in that part of the world started years ago using pickups as 
fighting vehicles; they sometimes had large machine guns mounted on the 
flatbed.  There was a name for that sort of contraption but I’ve forgotten it.

Clearly this lot didn’t have that sort of weapon, but the risk feels real.
